NITRO on the Radio

The publisher of the Kansas City Small Business Monthly, Kelly Scanion, called to see how we are doing and upon sharing the next month scheduled openings with her, invited me to be on her radio show, "Eye on Busines" that she hosts on Fridays, 9:30 to 10 am. I was a little skeptical about doing any live broadcasts with out my trusty partner, to play off of and keep me grounded, but agreed to anyhow.

Kansas City Small Business is the organization that voted us to be Luminaries of small business last year and recognized us at a terrific party in Overland Park. (See photo above) That is Chuck on the left, his wife Cheri, my lovely bride Angela, and me. We had some fun and met a ton of other small business entrepreneurs at the gala.

I learned today that you can find out almost everything going on in KC small business by looking at the Kansas City Business Calendar.

As far as the radio show today, Kelly asked questions about how we grew, how are we going to grow and who is qualified to operate a NITRO. The last being first, qualifications to operate a NITRO must begin with communication and motivation. Men come to us to be helped past a bump in the road and get on the right track. Now that Fitcareers (fitcareers.com) has got our circuit the most efficient it can be, it is time to motivate the members to "Just do it" and realize the results. Hopefully more of the members will post their results and benefits received on the new concept in fitness and motivate others to do the same. "If I can, you can" is the most used phrase with our members to their friends. And of course it is true. Have a great weekend.

Larry,

Congratulations on all the success NitroFitness has enjoyed this year. I enjoyed catching up with you on the show today. It had been a year since you'd been on the cover of Kansas City Small Business Monthly, and it was great to hear how much NitroFitness has expanded in such a short time. As an organization that advocates on behalf of small businesses, it's always gratifying for us to see them succeed.

Thanks for letting your blog readers know about our 25 Under 25 awards and celebration. We hope to see you at our 5th annual celebration at the Marriott in Overland Park on March 6.

Keep up the great work, and please keep us up to date on your franchise openings--we'll help you spread the word!
