Happy Monday

This is the E-mail from Nelson telling of why we pursue the elusive benefits of owning a gym, this is it.


Larry and all.
Mark came in at 32 years of age, weight at 335, on 10/10/07 when we opened our doors. He stated that he wanted to live to see his kids graduate. Well, he has seen his initial goal of getting under 300 met many months ago. Then on to seeing if he cold reach 275, then 250, and finally the major goal of 100 pounds weight loss goal. He did that too, and thought he would like to see if he could get to 225. He thought that would be is ultimate goal and then just maintain it.
This morning, 8/3/07, some 9 months and 23 days later, he met this ultimate goal: 110.7 # loss.
He sat here this morning and thought where he would go next. He still has some toning to do, reshaping of the few extra pounds of fat still left to loose that he carries. He says his new goal is to get under 20% body fat. He started at 36.8% and is now down to 20.1%. He should reach that goal in a week or two. He had a BMI of 42.9, that is now 29+.
He had told everyone that at reaching the 110 loss goal and weighing in at 225 he would go to Taco Bell, and take his check book with him, and have at least one of everything on the menu. He used to live there. I told him this morning that I would go with him. We both laughed and let that comment pass. He is a 'new' man and the 'new' dad and husband in his family. His energy and stamina are just the tips of the icebergs that he has found that spur him on now. But that is what everyone else finds radiating out of him. Even at work they find almonds in the candy jar. They see the difference , and cannot help but feel the exuberance by which he lives his life now.
There can be no greater joy of owning/operating a gym or health /fitness club that seeing these kinds of successes (coming in and) going out of the gym.
Just had to shout a bit. He is contagious!
