“Readers are Leaders and Leaders are Readers”

There are so many of Quotes, So many terms, try sometime to google (www.google.com )Leaders and see what happens.

Leaders are heavily talked about, researched and followed. We want to duplicate the successes of the great ones and learn from the mistakes of not so great.

The many areas of Leadership are as diverse as the leaders themselves.

What are the traits of the political leaders we elect today?
What were the traits of the political leaders we elected a century ago?
What are the differences?
What did a successful Professional sports Coach look like a few decades ago, what does he look like today?

Those of you that know me know I am an eternal Vince Lombardi fan, but I have to question whether Coach Lombardi could be as dominant in today’s NFL as he was a short time ago.

WE are Looking for someone; several someone’s to lead us into ……EVERYTHING and EVERYWHERE.
I want competent leaders, Government/political, Military, Education, Chiefs Football, Something as simple and trivial as Taking a tour of Chicago’s Arts and Museums, I want a great leader. I/We are constantly looking at and for leaders.

I do not want the same guy to lead our country that is currently leading Tyler and Coles football teams to successful records.
I do not think the person perfect at leading our scout troop would be perfect for leading the bank at which we do business.
I on the same token do not want the same successful man leading our City to lead our troops to a new city at war…
See what I am saying, there are many types, many styles, and many measures of success. I had the chance to meet many leaders in the last few days, some just a quick “Hello my name is…”, and some an actual conversation. Some leaders were the moderators on a table of “Thought Leaders” that everyone at the table got to interact and basically grille them as to why they believed they were “Doing it Right”. At these tables were Leaders from NASA, Harvard, Yale, Mayor Daly of Chicago, General James Campbell, Bob Woodruff, Ann Compton and Chris Gardner. If you are a reader, get the book, he is truly a self made man leading others that were once homeless to break the cycle they are in.

There are many categories leaders to fall into and for several much crossover.

Political
Military
Religious
Sports, little league all the way to Professional
Business
Family

Leaders come in many types and shapes.

The most common denominators of Leaders include:
Visibility
Influential
Passionate about cause
Have followers

Most Successful Leaders qualities:

Personal Passion to be Healthy
They Want the best for each individual Follower
Trustworthiness
Integrity
They Go out among non followers and spread the word about the cause with passion, enthusiasm and confidence.

Unite among ourselves for the cause of Education and Motivation then disperse and go out into the world promoting FITNESS!
